This was at the request of a Miss Bronia Andrews who prefers to be called Bea.
This film is set in Chicago.
A group of Scientists led by Alistair Barkley are trying to develop a way to get fuel which is cheap and clean for the environment, and the way they do it is to use water and extract the hydrogen, although it is very unstable unless there is a right frequency on the machine that makes this process work.
Eddie Kasalivich (Keanu Reeves) Is the one young boy who discovers the right frequency, but only just after he has other people who want the technology try and get it and they kill Alistair. Eddie finds him dead and only just manages to get out of the mill alive, after a bomb has been detonated where the team is working.
The FBI then get involved and they believe that Eddie is responible for Alistairs death and the explosion which has destroyed a large area of the city of Chicago.
Eddie then has to go on the run with a friend Lilly Sinclair, and try and prove their innocence. Paul Shannon (Morgan Freeman) who was giving money to the experiment and friends with the whole team was working for the real criminals who had stolen the machine. They manage to capture Lilly, but Eddie is the only one who knows the frequencies. Very soon The FBI, led by Agent Ford starts to believe that the kid didn't do it.
Lyman Collier is the man who has Lilly and the machine, but Eddie comes along and rescues his friend and makes the Experiment go hay-wire and it explodes Lilly and Eddie managing to escape just before they place blows up. Lyman and Paul escape by another route, but Paul turns against his friend and Lyman is soon dead. Eddie and Lillies names are cleared and it all ends happily ever after.
This film is very similar to The Fugitive, but it's still a wonderful film.
I highly recomend it to those who like explosions and great stunts, and also it's good for those who are concerned with the environment. happy watching.
